What is LALIGA Academy New York?
LALIGA Academy New York is the official youth soccer academy of LALIGA, providing top-tier soccer training led by LALIGA UEFA Pro Technical Director Marc Barbero. Our programs focus on player development, fostering a passion for the game, and offering unique opportunities such as exposure to Spanish soccer culture.
 

Where are the training sessions held?
Training sessions take place at New Rochelle City Park & Randall's Island. Check the Locations section on our website for up-to-date information.
 

What age groups do you train?
We offer programs for boys and girls aged 4-18+. Each group is tailored to provide age-appropriate training and development.
 

2. Registration
 

How do I register my child for the academy?
The first step is to register for a FREE tryout at www.laligaacademyny.com/tryouts. Our team will evaluate the players during the tryout. If the player is selected to be part of the program, an Acceptance Letter will be sent to the email provided in the tryout form, along with detailed instructions on how to join.

Can I register mid-season?
Yes, depending on availability in your child’s age group. Contact us for details.

 

3. Programs and Training
 

What types of training programs are available?
We offer a variety of programs, including:

• Year-round training

• Summer and holiday camps

• Supplemental technical and goalkeeper training

Who are the coaches?

Our team is led by LALIGA UEFA Pro Technical Director Marc Barbero, who oversees all technical aspects of the academy. He is joined by four Spanish LALIGA UEFA Certified Coaches who lead our training sessions and games. Supporting them are Local Assistant Coaches, trained by LALIGA, who specialize in assisting with youth player development.

What should players bring to training?
Players should bring LALIGA Academy New York soccer gear, cleats, shin guards (optional), a water bottle, and any necessary personal items.

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy

What is your cancellation policy?

• Year-round programs: Refunds are available if a cancellation request is made within 7 days after completing registration. After that, no refunds will be accepted. A $250 administrative fee will be deducted.

• Camps and supplemental training: No refunds will be accepted.

• No-shows or cancellations after the program begins: No refunds will be issued.

• Exceptions may apply for medical reasons, with a doctor’s note provided.

5. Special Opportunities

Are there opportunities to travel to Spain?
Yes! Players may be selected for unique experiences such as training in Spain with LALIGA coaches, competing against Spanish teams, watch a LALIGA game live, and learning how soccer is played in Spain.
